'And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign to you : You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger." And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying,"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!" - Luke 2:9-14 -
If I were to sum up the true meaning of Christmas in one word, it will be Emmanuel, which means God with us.
For all those who are celebrating Christmas, I pray that the true meaning of Christmas will be in your heart not only on this special day, but for the rest of your life. May the joy and peace that the birth of Jesus' Christ brings, rest on you and your household.
